Skating around, waiting around for the bus, the train
Any old way to get to downtown Santa Monica, or Venice, to jump in the waves
Hitching a ride from a family tie, or a random guy
I don’t even know how or why we ever made it out of there alive
So many strange rides, and late late nights
Underage thinking, growing pains-dreaming
About who we would be in 10 or 20
Where would we live, how would we be making money

West Hollywood, South Gate, Carson, Silverlake, North Hollywood and Burbank
Paris, Highland Park, Los Feliz, Koreatown
Glendale, Paris, San Francisco, Paris again, Brooklyn, now Queens
Drugs, waking up, baking along
Under the sun, the shade
Changing your name, take up a new language
Learn to read and write all over again

Yo Kinky met at the start of 2020, bonded over shared musical interests, and immediately started working on songs together.
In a span of three years, Laura Wight and Tom Unish have released their debut EP, been played on free-form radio, performed tons of shows on the East Coast and in Europe and have performed live on-air on WFMU....more
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
Another devastatingly beautiful batch of indie rock confessionals from Ontario singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Linnea Siggelkow. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 28, 2024
The London band's new album is a vibrant postcard from southern Italy, boosted by brass, strings, and pizzica percussion from local players. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 14, 2024
